Farmers from KVK Sagroli participated in PM Kisan Samman Sammelan in New Delhi

  PM Kisan Samman Sammelan, on 17th and 18th October 2022 at New Delhi was organized by Agriculture Ministry of India. Five Different sectors like Agriculture, Orchard and Vegetable, FPO and Cow Husbandry farmers from Nanded district of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Sagroli participated for this agricultural meeting. 600 agriculture start-up companies participated in this two-day conference, which are successfully working in the agriculture sector today with innovative concepts. One of the startups is a model of sustainable income generation for rural farmers by making Nano cellulose from cow dung. The farmers discussed with the representatives of all these agricultural startups and got detailed information and in the future, the Krishi Vigyan Kendra managed by the Culture Culture Board will definitely try to establish new industries based on the concept of this startup company in the rural areas.

SSM honoured with 'Social Impact' National Level Award by SPJIMR

  Awaring very well about  the acute scarcity of water availability, SSM started Watershed Development programme in Katkalamba village in 2012  in collaboration with Caring Friends, Mumbai and later integrated them  in association with Atlas Copco Charitable Foundation and NABARD. It resulted into clean and safe water and agricultural development as well as many livelihood opportunities . The villagers   involved in this activity as owners and not just beneficiaries.   In an impressive presentation by SPJIMR for the 'Social Impact' award, SSM was honored with the award in the sustainability category. The award is dedicated to the tireless efforts of our project team and partners Caring Friends, Sevavardhini, ACCF and NABARD.

Pragati bagged second prize at story telling in Marathwada region

  Marathwada regional level story telling competition was organized by Pune International Centre and Gyan Key foundation. Inspirational stories from the bounty of grandparents was the subject. Students across the marathwada sent story telling video, wherein Student of primary school Pragati Ashok Bucchalwar's video found the best and she was awarded second prize. The prize was distributed to her in the presence of Dr Raghunath Mashelkar, Dr Vijay Kelkar, Dr Vijay Bhatkar, Dr Jabber  Patel and Dr chitale at Yashda Pune.

Lack of knowledge about processed food deprives women farmers from healthy nutritious diet

  An awareness program was organised at Himayatnagar, Dhanora on 10th October to include the use of soybeans in the diet to stay away from the diseases. Energy, protein, iron and calcium are abundant in soybeans, but many people still don't know how to make it a part of the diet. Therefore, on the topics of processed foods, value addition and opportunities in the industry, Atma, Department of Agriculture   Dr. Madhuri Revanwar, Home Science expert from KVK Sagroli guided the program along with demonstration.

Benefited 10,000 rural students with free Eye check up and glasses

  Lack of awareness among the villagers and school going students from rural vicinity about taking care of the eyes which may lead visionary complications/problems. To overcome this issue, an eye check up camp was organised for rural students in Nanded with the joint collaboration with SSM, Sagroli and Vision Spring Foundation India during 27th September to 15th October. 10,000 students from villages of Adampur, Kesrali, Atkali, along with Sagroli were benefited with free eye check up and glasses according to their needs.

Four High school students endowed with Mensa International Membership

  Mr. Narayan Desai, Head of Mensa India, an organization of high intelligence members of all age groups in 90 countries , during his visit to Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji High school 91 girls of 8th and 9th standard examined the various intelligences surveyed by test.   In this 22 girls secured more than 95% marks.   They have been awarded with 'Mensa India Certificate' in the presence of their parents.   Out of 22 girls, 4 girls found gifted and were awarded with International membership of Mensa.

An Establishment of children’s (enriched) library - An innovation by young minds

An innovative concept has emerged from the young minds of students from shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Junior basic school utilising collected   money from their Birthday's for establishing 'School Library' to enhance the knowledge of students and teachers instead of wasting their money on chocolates, biscuits ,Cakes and shacks on Birthday's. Collecting contribution from every child through out the year on his Birthday's, students donated 450 books costing worth twelve thousands Five hundred rupees on the occasion of Dr. APJ Abdul kalam’s birth anniversary as Vachan Prerana divas.
